The Community Health Center of the New River Valley (CHCNRV) has implemented a new Tele-Visit Program. Simply click the link you receive via email or text in the appointment reminder your receive from the Center.
During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it’s important to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines including putting distance between yourself and other people and staying home whenever possible.
The CHCNRV allows patients to have their appointment via telephone communication, tablet, or computer. By providing primary care, dental and behavioral health services in this way, we enhance patient-centered health care and offer an alternative to on-site visits.
Telehealth is a care delivery model that promises to increase the flexibility and reach of health services. Telehealth offers many conveniences including increased care accessibility, decreased transportation barriers, and patient empowerment.
By providing current patients an alternative to in-office visits, we hope to alleviate the stress of leaving home for medical, dental or behavioral health care now and in the future.
Our staff are actively calling current patients of the CHCNRV to help them understand how to access their Tele-Visit. If you are a patient of the CHCNRV and would like to learn more about our new Tele-Visit Program, contact one of our offices, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and our staff will be happy to assist you.
