A comprehensive approach to the challenges of addiction.
We all have been touched by addiction.
Maybe it is a friend, a co-worker, or a relative. Perhaps you are struggling with addiction. There is hope and help.
The Community Health Center of the New River Valley’s OBAT (Office-Based Addiction Treatment) program serves adults with opioid and alcohol use disorders through a comprehensive treatment modality. OBAT participants engage in medication-assisted treatment and group therapy with licensed Medical and Behavioral Health Providers. Participants receive auxiliary support through their relationships with the CHCNRV’s Peer Recovery Specialists and Care Coordinators. The OBAT program provides an integrated and focused way to address the disease of addiction on an outpatient basis.
Medical: Physician-prescribed and managed medications provide relief from opioid withdrawal symptoms while reducing cravings for continued opioid use. In addition to addressing the medical aspects of addiction and withdrawal, we can manage health issues related to addiction and wellness issues.
Counseling and support: A key to successful recovery is understanding addiction and gaining perspective to aid healing. Community Health Center of the New River Valley creates a support network to help understand the underlying causes of addiction and develop skills to move forward.
