During Open Enrollment individuals and families can sign up for health insurance through the Virginia Health Insurance Marketplace. During other parts of the year, individuals and families may qualify to obtain health insurance through special enrollment periods.
The online Virginia Health Insurance Marketplace is a way for people who have no insurance or people who lack adequate coverage to find personal health insurance options. Through an online tool (www.marketplace.virginia.gov) the Virginia Health Insurance Marketplace seeks to make purchasing insurance easier for individuals and families.
